A TV show as unique as the people it’s about.

Tune in March 20th at 9pm!

In this show we meet people with disabilities who are working and
giving back to their communities. Whether driving a van, connecting
people with jobs, or lobbying congress people with disabilities are
making their communities better places to work and live.

In our first segment, we are invited to sit in on an Office for
Veterans Workforce Development meeting. We hear a group of Veterans
brainstorming about the job market. Though these four men are from
different wars, they share a common motivation: to reach out to fellow
Veterans who are trying to integrate into Connecticut’s workforce.

Next we meet Steven Andrewchowski, a man who had an undiagnosed mental
illness and consequently was institutionalized for 22 years. Now Steven
is living with his mental illness thanks to a proper diagnosis and
medication. He has a full time job which allows him to pay for his own
apartment, but his most cherished possession may be his 24-year old VW
rabbit.

Fred Frank, a born salesman was on top of the world as an executive
headhunter. Though Fred was working with the biggest men in business,
it was the smallest organism that would change his life. A bacterial
infection caused Fred to slip into a coma, and when he emerged he had
aquired a disability affecting his speech and movement. When he heard
"You'll never work again," he was compelled to help other people with
disabilities to acquire the same top notch job hunting skills used by
his former executive clients.

To close out the show we meet Fred Graves a young man whose dream is to
have a career in radio but he is not there yet. Now he is going to
college to develop the skills he needs while working to pay his way.
Though it is not his dream job to be a receptionist at a sliding scale
medical clinic, this is a place where he can give back to his community
and earn money to help advance to his next career move.
