While shopping at his local market, Council Member Bill Broadbridge was approached by a fellow parent whose son had recently seen the Able Lives episode on Families. Prior to that, the son was embarrassed and ashamed of his sibling who had a disability. The Families episode completely changed how he saw and felt about his sibling – and is no longer embarrassed or ashamed.
